This mini-EP (smaller than an EP, larger than a single) collects a pair of songs recorded in the first snows of this past winter and a song birthed by request on my own birthday back in 2008, when I wasn't as old as I am now or will be in the future.

I wake up on Thanksgiving day
Turn on the Macy's Parade
I've been sleeping on a couch
For about four or five hours
They're saying it'll snow

The sparks drift away like wild floats

I watch her at the stove
She doesn't make a move
The flames below her fingertips
They wrap her up before they slip
A phone call yesterday
Her job is on the fritz

One choice insures her for the future
One slips a dagger in her past
